EF-MT Digital Ecosystem

Elizabeth Forward has been named “Digital Ecosystem of the Year” at the Virtual National Conference on Digital Convergence yesterday. “We are so proud of the hard work of our Elizabeth Forward teachers, principals, support staff, students, parents and our school board.  Elizabeth Forward School District started this work back in 2017 and this vision has helped educate students during a global pandemic,” said Dr. Todd Keruskin, Superintendent of Schools.

The National Conference on Digital Convergence, NCDC21, brought together virtually nearly 1500 educational leaders united by a common goal: to serve every student and take our education system into the future with a practical methodology. Elizabeth Forward School District was honored at NCDC21 during the Digital Convergence Framework Awards Showcase for their outstanding achievement in their digital ecosystem highlighting their work with Apple Education, eSpark Learning, Canvas Learning Management System, and several other partners.

Elizabeth Forward was also invited to share their story at NCDC21 of how they have reimagined personalized learning in the Conceptual Age to equip their educators with the strategy and tools they need to successfully deliver modern, personalized learning experiences to their students. The district presented on how they have successfully implemented a teacher professional learning plan that uses teacher collaboration to develop new content, and peer coaching to ensure success through shared responsibility and support. “We are excited to share the story of our collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative to identify effective key teaching strategies through the use of quantitative and qualitative data with a national audience,” said Keith Konyk, Assistant Superintendent of Schools.

The district was recognized at last year’s conference awards ceremony for reaching Stage 4 in the Digital Convergence Framework - the nation’s leading methodology for transitioning traditional classrooms to more modern learning environments, at scale.

Modern Teacher partners with districts to support the transition from traditional classrooms to modern learning environments at scale.
