The TED-Ed Student Talks Program supports students as they discover, explore and present their big ideas in the form of short, TED-style talks. The 5th-grade students at William Penn Elementary were the first group of elementary students to participate in the TED-Ed Student Talks program at Elizabeth Forward School District. Led by a 5th-grade teacher, Mrs. Danielle McConnell, students spent the spring of 2022 working through the program. The TED-Ed Student Talks asks students to:

• Identify a passion or an "idea worth spreading"
• Research this topic
• Create a TED Talk-style presentation based on their topic
• Creating visual aids using Keynote
• Practice and  provide peer feedback using a form created with Numbers
• Record their final presentation
