Teachers and students at William Penn also enjoy creating videos using iMovie. Since the green-screen capability was added to the iMovie iOS application a few years ago, students at William Penn often use this effect in a variety of ways. One example involves 5th-grade students creating Breaking News videos on a volcano eruption. Students utilized the knowledge that they gained throughout a unit on volcanoes and created a video project within iMovie.  Students assumed the role of news reporters and provided key information about an erupting volcano, including the type of volcano and what safety measures the public should take.
