IXL and Digital Collage Projects
-
IXL Application - Through the IXL Application on student Apple iPad devices, students are able to work at their own pace to solve a series of mastery and inquiry-based mathematical problems. The IXL program allows mathematics teachers to assign to students a particular topic and as students work through these problem sets, the program tracks their progress and tailors further problem solving skills to the specific needs of an individual student.
Real Application Mathematics Pic Collage Projects - Using the PicCollage Application and Apple iPad devices, high school trigonometry and algebra students creatively designed a collage of specific mathematical concepts studied and their use in daily life. Students incorporated various forms of text and images to describe their chosen content and real world application, and the final products were downloaded to the iPad devices and submitted via the district’s learning management system.
