Digital Electronics and Robotics

  • From smartphones to appliances, digital circuits are all around us. This course provides a foundation for students who are interested in electrical engineering, electronics, or circuit design. Students study topics such as combinational and sequential logic and are exposed to circuit design tools used in industry, including logic gates, integrated circuits, and programmable logic devices. This class will also explore projects that can be made using an Arduino microcontroller such as LED lightstrips, alarm systems with keyless entry and an autonomous fighting robot. During this course students will also work collaboratively with the Warrior Bots class and assist in building for the competition robots. This course is part of the Project Lead the Way curriculum. Please see www.pltw.org for more information.

Students must have a final grade of 80% or better in either their last scheduled science or math class
