Honors Python Programming

  • This honors-level course is designed to introduce students to coding using the Python programming language. There is an emphasis on critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity. Specific topics include functions, variables, expressions, conditionals, loops, strings, lists, graphics, animations, classes, and debugging. Skills in computational thinking and creating algorithms will be developed. Students will also complete a project using the Hummingbird Robotics kit. This is a College-in-High School (CHS) course offered through the University of Pittsburgh at a reduced tuition rate.
