Entertainment Technology Academy

  • The Elizabeth Forward School District has partnered with the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University and the company Zulama to provide a program that teaches cutting-edge game-creation technology to high school students. The program combines Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) with the Arts to give students the skills and creativity they will need to thrive in the new global digital workplace. All students start with the Evolution of Games prerequisite course and then students can pick one or more tracks to continue in the program. The tracks include the following: programming, storytelling and digital art tracks.

The Entertainment Technology Academy’s overall goal is to foster leadership in education and research that combines technology and fine arts to create new processes, tools, and vision for storytelling and entertainment.
