The Foreign Language Department’s overall goal is to provide students with a foundation of the target language and culture while developing a general insight into how languages work. This is done in a way as to allow and encourage further studies here or abroad. Our classes are carefully aimed to give students four (4) abilities:

1. To function in a target language speaking country
2. To use the language for a lifetime of personal enjoyment
3. To recognize the role that French and Spanish speaking countries play in the world
4. To further increase the knowledge and skills of the language for general world communication and the work place
