Major economic decisions will be made continuously throughout your life.  Prepare yourself to save, invest, and spend for the future.  Everyone is affected by the stock market in some way.  Learn about stocks, bonds, mutual funds, investing strategies, and “The Rule of 72.” Everyone has the ability to meet his/her financial goals.  This class will show you how to invest for your future.  Students will participate in the “Internet Stock Market” game.  They will be given $100,000 to invest using real time stock quotes. Students will compete with classmates and students around the country to see how much they can earn.  Other topics covered will be life insurance, interest rates, banking, mortgages, real estate, financing a new automobile, and retirement plans such as 401Ks, IRAs, 529 plans, and annuities.
