SPELLING & MATH FOR THE WEEK OF JAN. 3O - FEB. 3, 2012
Math - In math this week, we will be working on Lesson 10-1 which is describing a polyhedron and the number of faces, edges, and vertices of each; In Lesson 9-12 we will be reviewing telling time; Lesson 9-13 is finding Elapsed Time; Lesson 12-5 will have the students reading, writing, comparing, and ordering integers; and then in Lesson 12-9 the students will identify and graph points on a coordinate plane. As usual, thank you so much for helping your child with your homework assignments each night. The grades in math for the second grading period were very good. I'm very proud of the students and their accomplishments in math so far this year.
Spelling - We will be working on Lesson 18 this week which are words with suffixes ous, eous, and ious. The words have been more difficult the last couple of weeks, so the students need to spend the entire week preparing for the weekly spelling test each Friday.
It's hard to believe it's already February.. Wow!!! Take care, be well, and stay warm!!! :)
