Jigsaw Book Puzzle
DUE DATE: Monday, May 3
1. After reading a chapter book of your choice, you are going to summarize each chapter into 3 to 5 sentences. (Think about the summarizing bookmarks that we complete in class- beginning, middle, and end)
2. Write the title and author of your book across several pieces of the puzzle.
3. Write the three to five sentences onto the puzzle pieces. Put the chapter summaries in order (either across or down), but DO NOT number them. If they are numbered, your classmate will be able to put your puzzle together without reading your book.
4. Decorate any unused puzzle pieces with scenes from the book. Remember to make it colorful and bright.
5. Write your name on the back of the paper.
The rest will be completed IN CLASS.
6. Glue your puzzle to a manila folder. Let it dry. (We will do this in class.)
7. Cut the puzzle pieces out and place in a zip lock bag. (We will also do this in class.)
8. You now have a jigsaw book puzzle to keep forever! If one of your friends has read the book, have them try putting your puzzle together. Enjoy!
